TMAC Alberta Chapter Industry Member

Sheenah Rogers is the founder and Principal of Anstice
Communications - one of Canada's leading boutique Communications firms
specializing in hospitality and property development. Sheenah's direct
destination marketing and communications experience has established her
as a leader in Canadian PR industry. She was also one of the early
adopters of incorporating destination PR in real estate development. Her
insight and experience in promoting and taking to market master-planned
resorts, hotels, retailers, destinations, and urban communities has led
her to sit on the Board of the Calgary Urban Land Institute Chapter. She
has also presented at the Canadian Resort Investment Conferences and
Canadian Hotel Association Conferences, acted as an honorary judge for
the Travel Alberta Journalism Awards, been a guest instructor at Mount
Royal University’s International PR Program and received a “Top 40 Under
40” award.
Perhaps one of her most exciting career highlights was working with the
Government of British Columbia where Sheenah executed the GM Place “2010
Olympic Bid Announcement” and direct the province-wide promotional
event, in partnership with BC Hydro, the Vancouver Canucks and VANOC for
the 2010 Olympic Bid. The event involved 72 communities, 31,000
participants and generated millions of dollars of media coverage that
ultimately assisted Vancouver to win its bid for the 2010 Olympics. As
well, Sheenah managed the B.C. Government’s Forestry Revitalization PR
campaign to squash negativity of the industry and gain positive interest
in the Provincial Forestry program. The campaign involved creating a
“travelling exhibition” that visited more than 30 cities in the
province.
Sheenah has long had a passion for arts & culture and the non-profit
sector. Since her days as a ballet dancer she has volunteered her time
to create a fund development and communications program for Calgary’s
Theatre Junction Grand. She is also an active volunteer for the Calgary
Humane Society, has previously sat on the Board of Directors for SAIT’s
Marketing Department and has acted as the media relations manager for
the Calgary Flames’ “Women at Centre Ice.” She is also Co-Chair of the
United Way’s BeCause initiative which is aimed at engaging the next
generation of philanthropists in the community. Sheenah is a also a
volunteer speaker for the BC and AB Junior Achievement Program.
Sheenah is a Simon Fraser University graduate (Communications) and has
also completed the University of Calgary’s Real Estate and Development
Certificate Program.
