In 2023, Google's algorithm – the Helpful Content Update (aka, “HCU”) drastically affected how many of our websites ranked in search results. Our very own William Tang of Going Awesome Places was one of twenty web creators recently invited to Google's HQ in Mountain View, California for an event called the Web Creator Conversation Event. Held at the end of October, the goal was to have an open discussion with Danny Sullivan and Google engineers. For this PD Session, Will will discuss key takeaways from the event including how Google wants to support publishers, HCU recovery, and the future of search. Join us if you want to learn more and/or want to bring your insights to the group in a Q & A following his presentation.
