Each delegate will be able to choose their preference for one of the following tours, happening from 12:30pm-5pm on June 13.

Each tour will enclude a boxed lunch. 

 

Tour #1: Whales & Puffins Boat Tour
This travefy itinerary includes both operators for the Boat Tours in Bay Bulls. Delegates signed up for this event will be split evenly between operator 1: O'Brien's and operator 2: Gatheralls. 30 minutes time difference between two departure times.

Tour #2: Merchants and Mariners + Downtown Cruise
Water Street has been the main commercial thoroughfare of St. John's since the 16th century. The mid-19th century buildings and street patterns of this part of the town are rare surviving testimonies to the increasing influence of St. John's merchants in the Newfoundland fisheries and Atlantic commerce during the past century. 

Highlights include: "The Coves" side streets and their origins, Bowring building, Murray Premises, O'Dwyer Block, and much, much more.


Tour #3: Local Brewery Tour
Includes 3 spots to two local breweries and Brewdock, which hosts the most beers on tap in the city. 


Tour #4: Newfoundland Food Tour
There’s no better way to learn about the history and culture of a community than to eat its food. On our Newfoundland Food Tour, you will eat your way through downtown St. John’s. Newfoundland and Labrador has one of the most unique food cultures in Canada. Long known for seafood, wild game, and delicious traditional meals, the province has a long list of mouth-watering ingredients and recipes.


Tour #5: Photography Tour
From historic architecture, iconic landscapes, to those seascapes - with different vantage point access, plus a slower time and pace, this tour is designed to allow you to capture your professional photographs. Maurice Fitzgerald brings over 20 years in the photography industry and is sure to tell personal anecdotes and stories growing up in St. John's.

Tour #6: St. John's Cityscapes
Become acquainted with the city of St. John's and its surroundings, including Cape Spear, the most Easterly point in North America. This is the oldest colonized region in the new world and your local guide will regale you with its steeped history, legends & lore - all flavoured with their personal anecdotes and good humour for which Newfoundlanders are so famous. Enjoy the brilliant vistas from Cabot Tower and Signal Hill, one of the most recognizable skylines in Canada. Walk through a cliffside World War II gun battery and visit the oldest standing lighthouse in North America. Other stops include Quidi Vidi Village, Jelly Bean Row, Government House, the Roman Catholic Basilica, and an orientation of the shops and restaurants of the downtown core.
